Delivered concurrently alongside two additional projects for South West Healthcare, the refurbishment works at Warrnambool Base Hospital strengthened critical healthcare infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted hospital operations. Undertaken within a live clinical environment, the projects transformed key emergency, mental health and operational spaces into more functional, efficient and patient-focused environments. Through meticulous staging, stakeholder collaboration and proactive communication, BowdenCorp successfully delivered complex refurbishment works that enhanced both patient care outcomes and staff wellbeing across one of regional Victoria’s most important health services.
Project Scope:
The Emergency Department refurbishment involved a complete reconfiguration of existing layouts to improve patient flow, reduce operational bottlenecks and create a safer, more effective emergency care environment. Concurrently, refurbishment works were undertaken across nine clinical and non-clinical hospital locations, alongside a 430sqm upgrade of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Centre over two levels.
