Our office in Geelong serves as the perfect base of operation for projects in regional Victoria. 

BowdenCorp launched their business operation in Geelong in 2012. Since its inception, BowdenCorp has successfully developed strong working relationships with clients and contractors throughout the Geelong region. Headed up by Regional Manager, Luke McKenna, our team is passionate about delivering health, education, aged care, and sporting facilities to the community, and is committed to engaging local trades that nurture a thriving economy in the area.

The Geelong team has now grown from a 4-person operation to a 20-strong team focused on delivering value-managed solutions.

People

Regional Manager - Geelong and Western Victoria

Luke McKenna

As one of BowdenCorp’s Regional Managers, Luke has been working in the industry for more than 20 years. He has extensive experience in architectural domestic construction, mid-tier commercial construction, high- density residential construction, civil works, basement construction, and structural steel assembly. Luke joined BowdenCorp in 2012, and is responsible for managing our Geelong and regional operations.

His responsibilities include high-level management of all staff and contracts including programming, day- to-day planning & scheduling, cost control, and client liaison. Luke ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, at the specified quality, and on budget. He is trade qualified, and holds a range of certificates including Cert IV Construction, Cert III OH&S and Cert III Carpentry Frame and Fit Out.

Construction Manager

Brendon Hunter

Brendon has 23 years’ experience in both the commercial and residential construction industries. He began his career as an Apprentice Carpenter in 2000 and has developed his construction knowledge with 3 years working abroad in the UK, and running his own Carpentry business upon his return to Victoria. Joining BowdenCorp in 2014 as a Site Manager, moving into the role of Project Manager in 2019, Brendon is now the Construction Manager.

He works very closely with Luke, and is responsible for the building sites in the region, including planning and scheduling of day to day activities, management of sub-contractors, working with stakeholders to foresee any potential design or compliance issues, quality control, ensuring OH&S regulations are complied with, budget and cost control, client liaison, and program management. In addition to being trade qualified, Brendon has completed Certificate IV – Building and Construction, Certificate III – Occupational Health & Safety and Certificate IV – Work Health and Safety.
